About Me
Hey!
I'm Jennifer and I am going to be a senior this fall.
I can speak English and Mandarin, and I am studying Spanish in Poly.
Miscellaneous Details:
- During my sophomore year, I visited a Fiesta Pinolera celebration in LA and documented it here.
- I also hosted two girls from PS 161 in Beijing for two days during sophomore year. I vlogged about it here.
- In the summer of 2015, I went with a group of Poly students to Dominica to help scientists research the local ecosystems. We kept a blog here, and my vlog is here.
- During my junior year, I studied abroad in SYA China. I was one of the several campus bloggers and photographers whose work can be seen here. There is a bit of a delay between submitting and posting articles.
- Other GIP events I attended during sophomore year: Girl Rising screening, Zuma Zuma performance, Joy Chen presentation.
- I'm taking two GIP-approved courses this year: Global Shakespeare and World's on Fire. I'm also studying Spanish, US history, biology, number theory, linear algebra, and computer science.
- For my capstone project, I will be teaching in the 9th grade "World Cultures - Pacific Rim" class about how different governments address smog issues.
I'm excited to work toward being a Global Scholar! There is never too much to learn.
